AIR FRYER CARROT FRIES
(GF, RSF, DF, Vegan Friendly, Low Acid Healing)
Love fries but trying to be healthier? These Air Fryer Carrot Fries are a healthier version of the traditional side, making them the perfect “skinny” alternative to potato fries. They are easy to make, crisp and flavorful. Serve as a delicious side or a healthy snack!
INGREDIENTS: 5-6 Large Carrots (peeled and cut into fries), 1-2 Tbls EVOO, 1 tsp Arrowroot Powder, 1 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp Dried Ground Rosemary, Salt to Taste
DIRECTIONS:
Prep by washing, peeling and cutting your carrots.
Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees. Either use the preheat setting or letting it run for about 5-6 minutes before adding your carrots.
Add the carrots, oil, arrowroot and seasoning to a large bowl. Toss to coat well.
Place the carrots into the air fryer basket or tray, making sure that they are in a single layer and not touching. You can cook in batches if needed. This helps them crisp up better.
Air fry the carrots for 15-20 minutes, flipping the carrots halfway through, until they are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Taste test if needed.
Serve immediately!
SIMPLE YOGURT DIP: 1/3 c Plain Greek Yogurt or Plain Nondairy Yogurt, 1-2 Tbls Homemade Pesto, Salt to Taste, Lemon Zest to Taste
